The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rhys Wharfinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merlin Godwin in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Talgarth's Reese Wainwright got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Godwin in the 21st minute of play forced Talgarth's goalkeeper Rhys Wharfinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Merlin Godwin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trelew Land fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Trelew Land's Merlin Godwin got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evrei Carpenter's late challenge caught a Trelew Land's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evrei Carpenter helped the player get up and apologised. Trelew Land's Evan Lyons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evrei Carpenter in the 42nd minute of play. The wind increased when Merlin Godwin made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Evrei Carpenter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talgarth's supporters rose to their feet, but Evrei Carpenter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evan Lyons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Merlin Godwin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rhys Wharfinger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 85 minutes, Rhuvawn Bowles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trelew Land and the Talgarth players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cadellin Finlay walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 94 played minutes Trelew Land got a freekick which was hit by Gwalchmei Lynch. Evan Lyons came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Talgarth's Evrei Carpenter. But to his dismay, Evrei Carpenter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.
