Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Granwen Fischer got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Granwen Fischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Keatinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rhyl getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Teilo Rush hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Granwen Fischer made a precise shot to the right of Gwres Keatinge. Caerleon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ol Clements recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwres Keatinge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trefor Cantwell in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute Kenyon Blyth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maddox Creedan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iddawg Felton charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iddawg Felton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teilo Rush was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, one of Rhyl:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rhyl. In the 29th minute Ol Clements shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Keatinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Syvwlch Cordwainer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maddox Creedan having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Syvwlch Cordwainer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kenyon Blyth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ol Clements sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Rhyl fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Rhyl's Granwen Fischer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Caerleon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rhyl were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Clust Farthing made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Kenyon Blyth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caerleon's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenyon Blyth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maddox Creedan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rhyl made a substitution. Ysgawyn Gilboy replaced Ol Clements. Gwres Keatinge came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Rhyl's Granwen Fischer. But to his dismay, Granwen Fischer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After some careless play in the Caerleon defense, Ysgawyn Gilboy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwres Keatinge. The Caerleon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwres Keatinge should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clust Farthing during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clust Farthing kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, Caerleon's Gwres Keatinge got control of the ball when Granwen Fischer tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Rhyl's Ysgawyn Gilboy in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caerleon's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Rhyl booed when Caerleon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Syvwlch Cordwainer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Granwen Fischer came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Rhyl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Granwen Fischer couldn't finish the play. Fercos Leaper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gwres Keatinge made a huge save. Ysgawyn Gilboy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwres Keatinge having to interfere. Rhyl's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
