Gruffen Greene made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gwres Keatinge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelles Crease in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Caerleon's Syvwlch Cordwainer got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gobrwy Bernard got free with Gwres Keatinge in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute Myrddin Chandler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Keatinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pelles Crease's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gwres Keatinge was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Aberystwyth's zone, Clust Farthing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gruffen Greene came out of the goal and Clust Farthing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
