Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Caradawg Dexter started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Peissawg Criddle came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Llantwit Major F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peissawg Criddle couldn't finish the play. Llwybyr Folk hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes Caerleon got a freekick which was hit by Anwir Keary. In the 15th minute Peissawg Criddle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Keatinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Llantwit Major F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Loren. In the 19th minute, Caradawg Dexter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Llantwit Major F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Kenyon Blyth's late challenge caught a Llantwit Major F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenyon Blyth helped the player get up and apologised. Kenyon Blyth hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Llantwit Major F.C.'s Peissawg Criddle got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caradawg Dexter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwres Keatinge having to interfere. After 28th play minutes Peissawg Criddle shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Gwres Keatinge and just under the crossbar into goal. When Parry Bissett came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Llantwit Major F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Parry Bissett couldn't finish the play. Jones Clayton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clust Farthing, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Casnar Heslop's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jones Clayton firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jones Clayton made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Clust Farthing sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Peissawg Criddle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Keatinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwres Keatinge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peissawg Criddle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
Jones Clayton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenyon Blyth in the 54th minute of the match. Jones Clayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clust Farthing in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute Caradawg Dexter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Keatinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jones Clayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anwir Keary in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Peissawg Criddle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Caerleon's Gwres Keatinge got control of the ball when Peissawg Criddle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jones Clayton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anwir Keary went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Llantwit Major F.C.'s Caradawg Dexter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gwres Keatinge. That made the score 1-3 after 75 minutes of play. Peissawg Criddle succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 81st playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Caerleon's zone, Peissawg Criddle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwres Keatinge came out of the goal and Peissawg Criddle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jones Clayton came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Caerleon's Kenyon Blyth. But to his dismay, Kenyon Blyth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. In the 93rd minute, Casnar Heslop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Llantwit Major F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Llantwit Major F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
