The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Pasgen Bury put in a rough tackle. 4 minutes into the game, one of Prestatyn:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Prestatyn's Gawain Edmund got control of the ball when Aeddan Boren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Llwyd Gay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Braen Elkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Anyon Farr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gawain Edmund was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Anyon Farr sped through Prestatyn's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gawain Edmund. Gawain Edmund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anyon Farr in the 19th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Anyon Farr took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Gawain Edmund to make any attempt to save it. Aeddan Boren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gawain Edmund having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Prestatyn's goalkeeper Gawain Edmund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aeddan Boren. Aeddan Boren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Gawain Edmund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gawain Edmund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anyon Farr, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A hard shot 37 in the game by Aeddan Boren from a close distance when the talented Gawain Edmund managed to make a qualified save. Prestatyn's players were relieved. Braen Elkins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomos Gause went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Prestatyn's Gawain Edmund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Prestatyn from getting a goal against them. Gawain Edmund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anyon Farr, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Llwyd Gay to make the kick off. The referee ignored Prestatyn's protests and gave Tomos Gause a yellow card for diving instead. The throw-in from Brice Banan in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Prestatyn's Pyrs Law. Gawain Edmund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aeddan Boren's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Clyde Hetherington's late challenge caught a Montgomery's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clyde Hetherington helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Clyde Hetherington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aeddan Boren in the 70th minute of play forced Prestatyn's goalkeeper Gawain Edmund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes, Llwyd Gay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Prestatyn and the Montgomery players grew even worse after the yellow card. Llwyd Gay hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Gawain Edmund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anyon Farr in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Prestatyn's goal looked a bit too open when Anyon Farr came free, but Gawain Edmund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gawain Edmund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aeddan Boren, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Aeddan Boren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Pyrs Law was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prestatyn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montgomery the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Prestatyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pyrs Law to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Taffy Farran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gawain Edmund skillfully saved the ball. Anyon Farr took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gawain Edmund. Gawain Edmund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Prestatyn's zone, Aeddan Boren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gawain Edmund came out of the goal and Aeddan Boren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Anyon Farr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gawain Edmund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anyon Farr in the 92nd minute of the match. Prestatyn's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
