An unexpectedly hard shot by Jalel Jbara in the 23rd minute of play forced Cowes United's goalkeeper Bechir Nafti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jalel Jbara to make the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Riadh Salah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Muhammad Robime sped through Alderley Edge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Riadh Salah. Cowes United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fathi Mzali in the 85th minute. After taking down the ball on Cowes United's corner Fathi Mzali fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Riadh Salah quite easily take care of the ball. Muhammad Robime struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Riadh Salah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cowes United. After 91 played minutes Alderley Edge got a freekick which was hit by Ismail Bey. Jalel Jbara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bechir Nafti having to interfere. Cowes United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
