In the 4th minute Emir Dermech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mongi Yahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Buxton City got a freekick which was hit by Radhi Hadrioui . Oussama Chiboub made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Wissem Koissy sent off a good shot on target. Maher Jaidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oussama Chiboub having to interfere. When Sofiene Ben Dhia fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buxton City's protests and gave Sofiene Ben Dhia a yellow card for diving instead. Maher Jaidi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oussama Chiboub read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oussama Chiboub prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alaeddine Boumnijel might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mongi Yahia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alaeddine Boumnijel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Buxton City's Chedi Akid got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Rashid Kerrit sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Buxton City's Oussama Chiboub didn't even have to move. Maher Jaidi struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Oussama Chiboub didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Midsomer Norton FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 73rd minute of the match Abdelkarim Zahaf shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oussama Chiboub showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oussama Chiboub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wissem Koissy in the 76th minute of play. Oussama Chiboub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wissem Koissy, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The long shot by Hamed Bouazizi in the 83rd minute really tested Mongi Yahia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Wissem Koissy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Midsomer Norton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wissem Koissy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oussama Chiboub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maher Jaidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Buxton City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
