Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdallah Beya in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hedi Jemmali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute, Aymen Karoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdallah Beya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Hedi Jemmali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Thamesmead FC's Abdallah Beya in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Thamesmead FC's zone, Aymen Karoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mondher Benachour came out of the goal and Aymen Karoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oussama Bourguiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Mondher Benachour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Hamza Bey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohamed Fitouri kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Najeh Tlili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mondher Benachour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hedi Jaziri in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hedi Jaziri to strike the kick off in the second half. Hedi Jemmali acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Taoufik Essafi. After having played for 55 minutes, Hedi Jaziri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royston AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hedi Jaziri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taoufik Essafi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Thamesmead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hedi Jaziri came free, but Mondher Benachour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Royston AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Thamesmead FC:s goal. Hedi Jemmali went to the wrong direction when Zied Sellimi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Royston AFC's goalkeeper Hedi Jemmali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mohamed Majeri. If Oussama Bourguiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mondher Benachour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hedi Jaziri in the 72nd minute of play. Mondher Benachour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hedi Jaziri in the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohamed Majeri got free with Hedi Jemmali in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Oussama Bourguiba fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royston AFC's protests and gave Oussama Bourguiba a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Royston AFC got a freekick which was hit by Oussama Bourguiba. The Thamesmead FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
