After having played for 4 minutes, Aziz Achour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 14th minute of the game, Mongi Naoui landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Hadj Salem Bejaoui's late challenge caught a Argentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hadj Salem Bejaoui helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Liphook AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hadj Salem Bejaoui to maneuver through the defense. Haykel Chedli hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Patrick Tonniche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aziz Achour in the 17th minute of play. Aziz Achour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Tonniche having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Med Ali Sellimi in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Tonniche saved Argentina from getting behind. Hamadi Khaled fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mokhtar Rostom having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Med Ali Sellimi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Tonniche was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Hamadi Khaled had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Hamadi Khaled left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Argentina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Med Ali Sellimi was the one to do the kick off. If Med Ali Sellimi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aziz Achour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Patrick Tonniche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Tonniche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Med Ali Sellimi in the 65th minute of the match. Sofiane Abdi hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Aziz Achour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Argentina's Patrick Tonniche got control of the ball when Aziz Achour tried to sneak it across the goal line. Med Ali Sellimi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Patrick Tonniche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Med Ali Sellimi rounded Argentina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Med Ali Sellimi 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Tonniche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Hamadi Khaled managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamadi Khaled was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mokhtar Rostom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
