Barton upon Humber City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Melliti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hedi Melki in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Issam Dali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Henley on Thames FC fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Henley on Thames FC's Hedi Melki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Henley on Thames FC's Hédi Kasraoui got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes Henley on Thames FC got a freekick which was hit by Riadh Sassi. 32 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames FC's Hedi Melki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Issam Dali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Barton upon Humber City's zone, Hedi Melki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Issam Dali came out of the goal and Hedi Melki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Mkacher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 played minutes Henley on Thames FC got a freekick which was hit by Mongi El Hadj Kacem. 39 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Mkacher came free, but Wissem Ben Namouchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes, Mehdi Mokthar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Henley on Thames FC and the Barton upon Humber City players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Henley on Thames FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mehdi Mokthar hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Hedi Melki fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hedi Melki to make the kick off. Issam Dali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mongi El Hadj Kacem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Wissem Ben Namouchi managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Barton upon Humber City's Hamdi Karoui fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 64th match minute, Barton upon Humber City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Melliti to maneuver through the defense. Salah Belhaj Saidi, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Barton upon Humber City getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ali Melliti hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barton upon Humber City's zone, Mongi El Hadj Kacem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Issam Dali was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th minute Barton upon Humber City were awarded a corner. Mehdi Dahmani went to the cornerflag to take it. Hamdi Karoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Wissem Ben Namouchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mongi El Hadj Kacem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Issam Dali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Melliti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barton upon Humber City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
