West Kirby United's Sadok Bejaoui got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Riadh Laabidi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wissem Tlili's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Riadh Laabidi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelwahab Nafti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hédi Adhoum during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Hédi Adhoum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sadok Bejaoui struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Anis Hedi Jedidi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Kirby United. Castleford AFC's Anis Hedi Jedidi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hédi Zouaoui in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castleford AFC's goalkeeper Anis Hedi Jedidi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Riadh Laabidi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wissem Tlili, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Riadh Laabidi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wissem Tlili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sadok Bejaoui got free with Anis Hedi Jedidi in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wissem Tlili in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Riadh Laabidi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute Hédi Zouaoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Hedi Jedidi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdelwahab Nafti got free with Riadh Laabidi in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, West Kirby United's goalkeeper Riadh Laabidi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelwahab Nafti. The referee ignored Castleford AFC's protests and gave Slaheddine Aleya a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Castleford AFC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Slaheddine Aleya hit a great ball. Oussama Mechergui, 99 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Castleford AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
