Reading's Mehdi Braham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassen Sayah in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamdi Ben Doulet got free with Mehdi Braham in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mehdi Braham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hassen Sayah, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Reading's Mehdi Braham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassen Sayah in the 18th minute of play. Salah Haggui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamdi Mechemeche in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Reading booed when Erith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khaled Ben Zid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salah Haggui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamdi Mechemeche in the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Reading defense, Hamdi Ben Doulet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehdi Braham. The Reading fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehdi Braham should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Erith's goal looked a bit too open when Anis Hleli came free, but Salah Haggui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erith's Hassen Sayah got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Anis Hleli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Erith defense, Hamdi Mechemeche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salah Haggui. The Erith fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salah Haggui should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Ali Sfar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Hassen Sayah struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Mehdi Braham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erith. Wissem Ayari's late challenge caught a Erith's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wissem Ayari helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Reading's Wissem Ayari got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Erith's Hassen Sayah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehdi Braham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 59 minutes Reading's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adel Diwa who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Erith's Adel Diwa to fire away a dangerous shot which Mehdi Braham despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Hamdi Mechemeche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehdi Braham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hassen Sayah's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Anis Hleli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Erith's Salah Haggui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th match minute, Erith was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mondher Baya to maneuver through the defense. Anis Hleli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 71 minutes, Hamdi Mechemeche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reading's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamdi Mechemeche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, one of Erith:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Erith. In the 91st minute, Hassen Sayah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Anis Hleli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehdi Braham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hassen Sayah, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Reading players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
