Spectators: 6745 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 0) Hassen Ziadi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Thatcham's Borhene Gammoudi got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Najeh Jelassi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Khaled Jemmali showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Mohamed Kasraoui was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 20th minute, Emir Jaber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borhene Gammoudi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Khaled Neifar having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Thatcham's zone, Khaled Jemmali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Najeh Jelassi came out of the goal and Khaled Jemmali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Borhene Gammoudi in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Khaled Neifar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Thatcham's zone, Mohamed Kasraoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Najeh Jelassi came out of the goal and Mohamed Kasraoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Khaled Jemmali stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mohamed Kasraoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Najeh Jelassi having to interfere. Najeh Jelassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khaled Jemmali in the 54th minute of play. Najeh Jelassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Kasraoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The long shot by Khaled Souayah in the 58th minute really tested Khaled Neifar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Thatcham's Hassen Ziadi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Khaled Neifar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Borhene Gammoudi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thatcham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Borhene Gammoudi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute Sabri Dahmani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khaled Neifar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 2-0 became the score in the 65th minute when Khaled Jemmali elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bechir Guelbi kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Hassen Ziadi took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Khaled Neifar to make any attempt to save it. In the 72nd match minute, Ipplepen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lassaad Zidane to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Hassen Ziadi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khaled Neifar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mohamed Salah Bouazizi fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipplepen's protests and gave Mohamed Salah Bouazizi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Mohamed Salah Bouazizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khaled Neifar was a little too slow when Hassen Ziadi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 79th minute, Sabri Dahmani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Thatcham booed when Ipplepen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lassaad Zidane didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ipplepen's zone, Hassen Ziadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Khaled Neifar came out of the goal and Hassen Ziadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khaled Neifar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Borhene Gammoudi in the 90th minute. Sabri Dahmani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hassen Ziadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
