The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Warwick United's goal looked a bit too open when Chedi Belkhodja came free, but Moncef Ben Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Khaled Sellimi during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Warwick United got a freekick which was hit by Khaled Sellimi . After 18 played minutes Sheerness got a freekick which was hit by Nejib Mestiri. Sheerness's Karim Naoui proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Sheerness from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Warwick United's Hichem Ben Dhia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Hatem Mestiri was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Warwick United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Borhene Chedli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moncef Ben Amor having to make a save. 45 minutes into the match, Warwick United's goal looked a bit too open when Borhene Chedli came free, but Moncef Ben Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moncef Ben Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammad Jelassi in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hichem Ben Dhia to make the kick off. Chedi Belkhodja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Moncef Ben Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bechir Chiba fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warwick United's protests and gave Bechir Chiba a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Warwick United's Bechir Chiba got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Borhene Chedli came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Sheerness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borhene Chedli couldn't finish the play. Karim Naoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hichem Ben Dhia in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Chedi Belkhodja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheerness's supporters rose to their feet, but Chedi Belkhodja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moncef Ben Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chedi Belkhodja had several of the Warwick United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Moncef Ben Amor as he didn't even see the shot coming. Warwick United's Moncef Ben Amor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Warwick United from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute of the match Mohamad Cherif shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karim Naoui showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hichem Ben Dhia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Naoui having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chedi Belkhodja in the 96th minute of play forced Warwick United's goalkeeper Moncef Ben Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
