Ali Tonniche struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Taieb Neifar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golcar United. If Ben Ben Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Ben Ben Amor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The St.Bees fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Golcar United's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Ben Amor came free, but Mohamed Mahouachi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohamed Mahouachi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ben Ben Amor went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 19th match minute, Golcar United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelaziz Fergani to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Golcar United's Ali Tonniche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Taieb Neifar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 25 minutes of play, St.Bees's Ben Ben Amor made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mohamed Mahouachi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chokri Hammemi's late challenge caught a St.Bees's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chokri Hammemi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Golcar United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chokri Hammemi to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Golcar United defense, Rashid Soussia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mohamed Mahouachi. The Golcar United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohamed Mahouachi should have stopped the shot. After having played for 32 minutes, Ben Ben Amor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St.Bees's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Ben Amor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 49thth minute of the game Rashid Soussia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golcar United's Mohamed Mahouachi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bahi Thabet made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as St.Bees's Rashid Soussia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mohamed Mahouachi. That made the score 1-6 after 56 minutes of play. 62 minutes into the match, St.Bees's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Tonniche came free, but Taieb Neifar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Tonniche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bahi Thabet struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Mohamed Boumnijel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Golcar United booed when St.Bees was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Boumnijel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohamed Mahouachi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Ben Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rashid Soussia got free with Mohamed Mahouachi in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rashid Soussia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mohamed Mahouachi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Golcar United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ben Ben Amor 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-7. St.Bees's Taieb Neifar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahi Thabet in the 90th minute of play. Taieb Neifar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bahi Thabet in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute Ben Ben Amor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Mahouachi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind St.Bees's goalkeeper Taieb Neifar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. St.Bees played a much better game than Golcar United and deserved their victory. The Golcar United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
