Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wissem Ben Laabidi started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, East Cowes's Muhammad Amor made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Majeri was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Muhammad Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zouheir Karoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Majeri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Amor, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, East Cowes's Moncef Meriah got control of the ball when Hamza Bouazizi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wissem Ben Laabidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Majeri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zouheir Karoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Zouheir Karoui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Majeri was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th match minute, Everton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Habib Haggui to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Zouheir Karoui notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Everton's David Majeri. David Majeri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Zouheir Karoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Everton's goalkeeper David Majeri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Majeri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zouheir Karoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Everton getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Zoubeir Chiboub hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Everton's goal looked a bit too open when Zouheir Karoui came free, but David Majeri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes, East Cowes's Hamed Sellami shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Majeri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in East Cowes reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Muhammad Amor made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match East Cowes got a corner. Everton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haroune Makhlouf ran over to the corner to take the kick. East Cowes's Haroune Makhlouf was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Majeri in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hamza Bouazizi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Everton getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jean Gharbi hit a great ball. Zouheir Karoui's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, David Majeri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 73rd minute Wissem Ben Laabidi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moncef Meriah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moncef Meriah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wissem Ben Laabidi in the 75th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Chaouki Sassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Everton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave East Cowes the free kick. Haroune Makhlouf walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 88th minute, Zouheir Karoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, East Cowes's David Majeri threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Muhammad Amor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The East Cowes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
