Warrington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoubair Sboui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moncef Salems short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Moncef Meriah to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Moncef Meriah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moncef Salem, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Warrington's Sadok Jemmali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Amor in the 26th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Muhammad Amor made the kick off in the second half. Zouheir Karoui might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sadok Jemmali. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zouheir Karoui ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 53rd minute, Muhammad Amor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sadok Jemmali. The goal made the score 0-1. The supporters of East Cowes booed when Warrington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moncef Salem didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, East Cowes's Sadok Jemmali threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Muhammad Amor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 59 played minutes Warrington got a freekick which was hit by Wissem Ben Karoui. If Muhammad Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zouheir Karoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sadok Jemmali having to interfere. A collision led to Warrington getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Riadh Haggui hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Muhammad Amor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sadok Jemmali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muhammad Amor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sadok Jemmali having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Moncef Salem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Warrington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The East Cowes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
