Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Torquay FC's goalkeeper Mehdi Ben Essediri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mohamed Achab. In the 4th match minute, Torquay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamel Ghodhbane to maneuver through the defense. Mohamed Achab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Ben Essediri having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Radhi Abdelkader was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torquay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gainsborough the free kick. Radhi Abdelkader kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Mohamed Achab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Ben Essediri having to interfere. Mohamed Achab's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehdi Ben Essediri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Gainsborough's Aziz Omrani got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Torquay FC's Radhi Abdelkader got a free kick in the 27th minute. Kamel Ghodhbane hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Aziz Omrani lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Mehdi Ben Essediri. Mohamed Achab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Torquay FC's Habib Gasmi in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gainsborough's goalie prevented a goal. Habib Gasmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dali Brahem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Habib Gasmi notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Gainsborough's Dali Brahem. Dali Brahem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute, Kamel Ghodhbane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Habib Gasmi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Habib Gasmi to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Torquay FC booed when Gainsborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aziz Omrani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gainsborough's Dali Brahem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Gainsborough from getting a goal against them. Mehdi Ben Essediri came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Gainsborough's Aziz Omrani. But to his dismay, Aziz Omrani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 74 minutes into the game, Gainsborough's Mohamed Achab nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehdi Ben Essediri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Mohamed Achab might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehdi Ben Essediri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mohamed Achab ran back to his position shaking his head. When Gainsborough's Mohamed Achab in 78 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Mehdi Ben Essediri guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 80th minute Aziz Omrani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehdi Ben Essediri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Mohamed Achab managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gainsborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohamed Achab was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Achab couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Mohamed Achab ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehdi Ben Essediri was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Karim Akid kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. If Férid Ben Mokthar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
