The referee ignored Torquay FC's protests and gave Radhi Abdelkader a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Férid Ben Mokthar to make the kick off. Zouheir Karoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehdi Ben Essediri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Amor, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Muhammad Amor might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehdi Ben Essediri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Muhammad Amor ran back to his position shaking his head. Muhammad Amor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Ben Essediri having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Zouheir Karoui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torquay FC's Mehdi Ben Essediri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Férid Ben Mokthar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute, Zouheir Karoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Muhammad Amor in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehdi Ben Essediri prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
