Hamed Mzali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Saïdi in the 10th minute of play. Hassen Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 16 minutes, Ahmed Saïdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caterham Valley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed Saïdi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Khaled Bouali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaouhar Ghigani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes Caterham Valley got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Ghodbane . A collision led to Caterham Valley getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Pierre Ghodbane hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Bernard Boumnijel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burtonwood's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caterham Valley the free kick. 31 minutes into the game, one of Burtonwood:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Burtonwood's zone, Hassen Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamed Mzali came out of the goal and Hassen Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Burtonwood players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caterham Valley were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaouhar Ghigani to make the kick off. Chaker Yahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaouhar Ghigani, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Hassen Santos in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hamed Mzali, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ahmed Saïdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khaled Bouali's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Hamed Mzali skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jaouhar Ghigani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chaker Yahia having to interfere. Chaker Yahia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaies Sellami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caterham Valley's Ahmed Saïdi got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute of the match, Hosni Boumnijel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hamed Mzali was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ahmed Saïdi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caterham Valley's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmed Saïdi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamed Mzali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Caterham Valley's Hassen Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamed Mzali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmed Saïdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kaies Sellami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chaker Yahia having to interfere. Chaker Yahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaies Sellami in the 89th minute of play. If Ahmed Saïdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hassen Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Hamed Mzali made a huge save. After 94 minutes of play, Caterham Valley's Ahmed Saïdi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamed Mzali was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caterham Valley's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
