Sadok Masmoudi charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sadok Masmoudi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Club Africain 2009 got a freekick which was hit by Sadok Masmoudi. The supporters of Sheerness booed when Club Africain 2009 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaies Mokadem didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, David Herguel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Slim Salem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Salah Yahia fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sheerness's protests and gave Salah Yahia a yellow card for diving instead. Salah Yahia kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ali Sboui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ali Bouali made a huge save. Slaheddine Maatouk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moncef Braiek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Bouali having to interfere. Ali Sboui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ali Bouali made a huge save. Ali Sboui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamda Essebsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ali Bouali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Sboui might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Bouali. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Sboui ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Sheerness were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamda Essebsi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Sheerness's David Herguel made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Slim Salem was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Herguel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slim Salem having to interfere. Slaheddine Maatouk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Slim Salem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Slaheddine Maatouk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Slaheddine Maatouk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Slim Salem. That made the score 0-5 in the 78 minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Sheerness was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamadi Ameur to maneuver through the defense. Faouzi Boukadida didn't quite understand what happened when in the 84 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Hamda Essebsi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Bouali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Slaheddine Maatouk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Africain 2009's Slim Salem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ali Sboui's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Bouali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Ali Sboui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Sheerness players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
