Ali Sellimi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Sofiane Bouali made a huge save. When Rashid Chipo fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hitchin United's protests and gave Rashid Chipo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hitchin United getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Mehdi Herguel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
