Rashid Ladgham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Lotfi Chikhaoui ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wissem Thabet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rashid Ladgham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Wissem Thabet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Great Ayton` AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Slimane came free, but Wissem Thabet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zine Benachour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Jose Slimane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wissem Thabet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Great Ayton` AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rashid Ladgham came free, but Wissem Thabet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Souayah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Habib Bargawi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Habib Bargawi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Souayah was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Wiveliscombe's goalkeeper Paulo Souayah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zine Benachour. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Zine Benachour took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Paulo Souayah to make any attempt to save it. 36 minutes into the match, Wiveliscombe's goal looked a bit too open when Habib Bargawi came free, but Paulo Souayah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zine Benachour might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Souayah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zine Benachour ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 43 minutes, Rashid Ladgham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wiveliscombe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rashid Ladgham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wissem Thabet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Slimane in the 44th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Habib Bargawi to make the kick off. Jose Slimane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Habib Bargawi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Great Ayton` AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Habib Bargawi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Souayah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Wiveliscombe booed when Great Ayton` AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Houcine Yahia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Habib Bargawi struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Paulo Souayah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Ayton` AFC. Wissem Thabet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Slimane in the 73rd minute of play. When Zine Benachour came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Great Ayton` AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zine Benachour couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Great Ayton` AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Wissem Thabet went to the wrong direction when Férid Basli was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Great Ayton` AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wiveliscombe's performance. The match ended with a win for Wiveliscombe.
