The ball had pretty good speed, but Majdi Jawachi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Chedly Zahaf ran back to his position shaking his head. Hornchurch's Ammar Jawachi pulled a muscle in his back after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sahbi Akimi during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Whitehaven's Sahbi Akimi got a free kick in the 47th minute. A hard shot by Karim Sellimi from long distance, 48 minutes into the match, got Majdi Jawachi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

Oussama Baya was slow to take the kick. During this time Whitehaven's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Alaeddine Essafi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Alaeddine Essafi struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Abdallah Bhar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitehaven. Chedly Zahaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marouane Moatamri got free with Abdallah Bhar in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Hornchurch. Karim Sellimi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Majdi Jawachi. 2-1. José Haggui hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Hichem Ayed came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Hornchurch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hichem Ayed couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Hornchurch booed when Whitehaven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jemeleddine Boumnijel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chedly Zahaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hornchurch's José Haggui got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chedly Zahaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Majdi Jawachi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hornchurch were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Whitehaven for a fine match.
