The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Salah Chérif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chedli M'hadhebi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Majdi Ben Nacef fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 29 played minutes Oldham FC got a freekick which was hit by Ali Jemmali. In the 37th minute, Riadh Jaidi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Amor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Salah Chérif was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Majdi Ben Nacef to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, East Horsley's Taoufik Sioud got a free kick in the 51st minute. A collision led to East Horsley getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Muhammad Laabidi hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Chedli M'hadhebi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Ahmed Amor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oldham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed Amor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Riadh Jaidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hatem Ben Marzouki having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Taoufik Sioud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Chedli M'hadhebi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ahmed Amor was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ammar Bensedrine kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Majdi Ben Nacef in the 75th minute of play forced Oldham FC's goalkeeper Hatem Ben Marzouki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94thth minute of the game Riadh Jaidi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oldham FC's Hatem Ben Marzouki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. East Horsley's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
