When Sandbach's Chokri Gharbi in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Stannington United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mohamed Cherni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ibrahim Belgacem came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Sandbach's Chokri Gharbi. But to his dismay, Chokri Gharbi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Khaled Mestiri hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Chokri Gharbi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ibrahim Belgacem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Chokri Gharbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Sandbach got a freekick which was hit by Karim Hammemi. In the 41st minute, Mohamed Cherni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ibrahim Belgacem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Cherni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Sandbach:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stannington United:s goal. Habib Jemmali had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Abdelhamid Melliti's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Sandbach's Habib Jemmali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chokri Makni in the 54th minute of play. Habib Jemmali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamdi Jelassi in the 55th minute of play. Chokri Makni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohamed Lamouchi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandbach's goalkeeper Habib Jemmali, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the game, Zoubair Boularès was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sandbach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stannington United the free kick. Habib Jemmali went to the wrong direction when Abdelhamid Melliti was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Habib El Naili kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Abdelhamid Melliti sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sandbach's Habib Jemmali didn't even have to move. Mohamed Cherni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Habib El Naili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Belgacem having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Sandbach's goal looked a bit too open when Hamdi Jelassi came free, but Habib Jemmali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohamed Cherni came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ibrahim Belgacem could save by the left post. Sandbach's Habib Jemmali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chokri Makni in the 93rd minute of play. In the 98th minute Hamdi Jelassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Habib Jemmali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandbach's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
