Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sofiane Zaalani took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, St Austell's Houcine Braham got control of the ball when Abdelaziz Zidane tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 7th minute of the match Witney FC got a corner. St Austell's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bahi Chimane ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of St Austell booed when Witney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Bejaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sofiane Zaalani in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chaouki Ben Merdassi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th match minute, Witney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Bejaoui to maneuver through the defense. Houcine Braham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Ziadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The long shot by Ziad Majeri in the 27th minute really tested Houcine Braham's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 0-1 became the score in the 36th minute when Sofiane Zaalani elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After the first half St Austell were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

St Austell's Chaouki Chedli got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Witney FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Walid Khcharem hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Witney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sofiane Zaalani came free, but Chaouki Ben Merdassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Muhammad Ziadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karim Karoui charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karim Karoui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 65 minutes into the match, St Austell's Karim Dahmani broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 66th minute, Ziad Majeri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Witney FC's goalkeeper Chaouki Ben Merdassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Houcine Braham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelaziz Zidane in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Sofiane Zaalani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St Austell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sofiane Zaalani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Houcine Braham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhammad Ziadi in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88thth minute of the game Sofiane Zaalani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Witney FC's Chaouki Ben Merdassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sofiane Zaalani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chaouki Ben Merdassi made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Chaouki Chedli sent off a good shot on target. St Austell's Chaouki Chedli got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of St Austell booed when Witney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adel Zitouni didn't get a good kick on the ball.
