Ferndown United's Karim Abdelmajid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walid Zaairi in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walid Zaairi in the 15th minute of play forced Ferndown United's goalkeeper Karim Abdelmajid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Ali Arfa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Majed Ben Gharbi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 22 minutes, Ali Arfa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferndown United and the Clitheroe City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ali Arfa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Ali Arfa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Majed Ben Gharbi made a huge save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Majed Ben Gharbi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clitheroe City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Zouheir Agrebi 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walid Zaairi was the one to do the kick off. If Zouheir Agrebi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Zouheir Agrebi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Arfa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Majed Ben Gharbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Arfa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Majed Ben Gharbi having to interfere. When Ali Arfa came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ferndown United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Arfa couldn't finish the play. Majed Ben Gharbi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Arfa went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 72nd match minute, Ferndown United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sami Mestiri to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Clitheroe City defense, Zouheir Agrebi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Majed Ben Gharbi. The Clitheroe City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Majed Ben Gharbi should have stopped the shot. Ali Arfa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Habib Bourguiba kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. If Walid Zaairi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ferndown United fully deserved thier win.
