The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Najeh Ayari made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Jamel Missaoui successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Washington AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Issam Hermassi hit a great ball. Najeh Ayari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jawhar Robime having to make a save. Jamel Missaoui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mongi Kallel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Issam Hermassi's late challenge caught a Sittingbourne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Issam Hermassi helped the player get up and apologised. The Sittingbourne players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
