Newbury's Kais Mkacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hosni Soussia in the 11th minute of play. Haroune Ghodhbane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sadok Boumnijel having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Anis Ghodhbane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 played minutes Halesworth got a freekick which was hit by Slaheddine Farhat. Hamdi Ouertani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sadok Boumnijel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Hamza Naybet kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Haroune Ghodhbane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sadok Boumnijel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Halesworth's goal looked a bit too open when Haroune Ghodhbane came free, but Sadok Boumnijel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hosni Soussia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Kais Mkacher made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hosni Soussia made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Newbury's goal looked a bit too open when Fatah Dhaouadi came free, but Kais Mkacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamdi Ouertani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sadok Boumnijel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kais Mkacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fatah Dhaouadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. A collision led to Halesworth getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Slaheddine Farhat hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Hamdi Ouertani notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Halesworth's Sadok Boumnijel. Sadok Boumnijel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sadok Boumnijel was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Haroune Ghodhbane capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Haroune Ghodhbane really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Halesworth's Abdelhamid Trabelsi got a free kick in the 79th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Newbury's Mohamad Slimane tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Haroune Ghodhbane struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Sadok Boumnijel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newbury. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Haroune Ghodhbane took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Sadok Boumnijel to make any attempt to save it. Fatah Dhaouadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newbury had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
