Ali Bouazizi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Ferid Jendoubi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salah Saidi's late challenge caught a Skegby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salah Saidi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Midsomer Norton AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Salah Saidi hit a great ball. Skegby's Chaker Thabet got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Bouazizi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chaker Thabet , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Midsomer Norton AFC's Ferid Jendoubi got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ferid Jendoubi made the kick off in the second half. Chaker Thabet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Bouazizi having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Slaheddine Bouazizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 66 minutes, Mondher Essebsi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skegby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mondher Essebsi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Chaker Thabet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skegby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Skegby's Hassene Saidi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Skegby from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Midsomer Norton AFC defense, Chaker Thabet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Bouazizi. The Midsomer Norton AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Bouazizi should have stopped the shot.
