Karim Saidi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Bourguiba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 minutes, Hamza Bensedrine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Welling and the Middleton on the Wold City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Welling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamza Bensedrine to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Middleton on the Wold City booed when Welling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdallah Ghodhbane didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Chokri Ladgham shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Welling's Hatem Khalifa to catch but Chokri Ladgham was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Bourguiba in the 19th minute of play forced Middleton on the Wold City's goalkeeper Karim Saidi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Welling got a corner. Middleton on the Wold City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hamed M'hadhebi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Karim Saidi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Bourguiba, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Essediri in the 23rd minute of play forced Middleton on the Wold City's goalkeeper Karim Saidi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hatem Khalifa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohieddine Basli in the 27th minute of play. If Sahbi Ben Bensedrine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sahbi Ben Bensedrines short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Hatem Khalifa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 42nd minute, Ali Essediri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Welling fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohieddine Basli to make the kick off. Hatem Khalifa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sahbi Ben Bensedrine in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Mohamed Karoui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Middleton on the Wold City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Welling the free kick. Mohamed Karoui kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Ben Bourguiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Welling's Ali Essediri got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Essediri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moez Ghodhbane hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Mohieddine Basli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatem Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mohieddine Basli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohieddine Basli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hatem Khalifa having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Essediri got free with Karim Saidi in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Bourguiba in the 81st minute of play forced Middleton on the Wold City's goalkeeper Karim Saidi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Welling's goal looked a bit too open when Mohieddine Basli came free, but Hatem Khalifa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Ben Bourguiba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Welling's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Bourguiba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karim Saidi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ali Essediri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 96 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Welling walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
