The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lofti Zaalani kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Abdelbaki Khaled made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Habib Kasraoui in the 13th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Mossley United got a freekick which was hit by Muhammad Benzekri . Abdelbaki Khaled took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Habib Kasraoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mossley United getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Muhammad Benzekri hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Long Crendon's Ali Mabrouki broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Mossley United defense, Hatem Mhedhebi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdelbaki Khaled. The Mossley United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdelbaki Khaled should have stopped the shot. Habib Kasraoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelbaki Khaled having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Salah Belhaj Clayton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mossley United's supporters rose to their feet, but Salah Belhaj Clayton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emir Agrebi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Salah Belhaj Clayton fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Emir Agrebi, passed just outside the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Mossley United's Muhammad Benzekri got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Habib Kasraoui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdelbaki Khaled. Mossley United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Habib Kasraoui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Abdelbaki Khaled showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hatem Mhedhebi, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Nejib Soliman charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nejib Soliman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Mabrouki during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mossley United booed when Long Crendon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Mabrouki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Long Crendon's Hatem Mhedhebi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abdelbaki Khaled. Abdelbaki Khaled yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 84 minutes into the match, Muhammad Benzekri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emir Agrebi. Long Crendon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Muhammad Benzekri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Habib Kasraoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Abdelbaki Khaled tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Habib Kasraoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Long Crendon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
