When Mohamed Cherif fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Openshaw United's protests and gave Mohamed Cherif a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Openshaw United getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hatem Mhedhebi in the 20th minute of play forced Openshaw United's goalkeeper Habib Zouiten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Mohamad Boumnijel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes, Riadh El Hadrioui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Openshaw United and the Long Crendon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Openshaw United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! A collision led to Long Crendon getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Mohamed Diwa hit a great ball. If Mohamed Diwa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamed Kalaï hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Bahi Bargougui kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sofiene Clayton in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emir Agrebi saved Long Crendon from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Bahi Bargougui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Habib Kasraoui made the kick off in the second half. Habib Zouiten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Habib Kasraoui in the 52nd minute. In the 56th match minute, Long Crendon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Mabrouki to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Long Crendon's zone, Mohamed Abdi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emir Agrebi came out of the goal and Mohamed Abdi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Openshaw United getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mohamad Boumnijel hit a great ball. Habib Kasraoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes into the match, Sofiene Clayton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emir Agrebi. Long Crendon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sofiene Clayton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Sofiene Clayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emir Agrebi having to interfere. Long Crendon's Emir Agrebi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sofiene Clayton in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Long Crendon's goalkeeper Emir Agrebi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute Mohamed Abdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emir Agrebi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Long Crendon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Openshaw United.
