Ahmed Kadri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Habib Zouiten having to interfere. Mohamed El Bez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sofiene Clayton in the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes SOCCER CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Med Ali Jebali. Chaker Soussia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mohamed Abdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed El Bez having to interfere. Med Ali Jebali hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. SOCCER CLUB's Mohamed El Bez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sofiene Clayton in the 24th minute of play. Mohamed Abdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed El Bez having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, SOCCER CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Abdi came free, but Mohamed El Bez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hatem Ammar's late challenge caught a Openshaw United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hatem Ammar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SOCCER CLUB's Hatem Ammar got a free kick in the 28th minute. Mohamed El Bez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohamed Abdi's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Abdeljelil Boulaabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdeljelil Boulaabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Openshaw United's zone, Ahmed Kadri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Habib Zouiten came out of the goal and Ahmed Kadri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 minutes, Med Ali Jebali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SOCCER CLUB and the Openshaw United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, SOCCER CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Med Ali Jebali to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdeljelil Boulaabi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdeljelil Boulaabi in the 55th minute of play forced Openshaw United's goalkeeper Habib Zouiten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sofiene Clayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Mohamed Abdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Sofiene Clayton in the 95th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Ahmed Kadri came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the SOCCER CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmed Kadri couldn't finish the play. After 98 played minutes Openshaw United got a freekick which was hit by Mohamad Boumnijel. For all the effort they put into the match, the Openshaw United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SOCCER CLUB.
