The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After recieving a nice pass, Dedham's Patrick Jaidi tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Majdi Melliti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Dedham getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Yassine Ben Yahia hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Sami Boukadida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bechir Essediri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yassine Ben Yahia kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. David Ameur took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bechir Essediri. Dedham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Thatto Heath AFC's zone, Kameleddine Melliti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamdi El Ouaer came out of the goal and Kameleddine Melliti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radhi Bensedrine in the 44th minute of play forced Dedham's goalkeeper Bechir Essediri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46thth minute of the game Sami Boukadida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dedham's Bechir Essediri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karim Jelassi was the one to do the kick off. Kameleddine Melliti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zoubaier Saidi fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thatto Heath AFC's protests and gave Zoubaier Saidi a yellow card for diving instead. Zoubaier Saidi hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Karim Jelassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamdi El Ouaer having to interfere. Thatto Heath AFC's Radhi Bensedrine came free and shot a quick shot against goal 71 minutes in the game, fortunately Bechir Essediri had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The tension between the Dedham and the Thatto Heath AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Karim Jelassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Radhi Bensedrine scored 0-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bechir Essediri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Radhi Bensedrine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bechir Essediri having to make a save. Sami Boukadida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bechir Essediri having to interfere. The Dedham supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Thatto Heath AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Thatto Heath AFC.
