With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radhi Benzekri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norton Radstock United's Radhi Benzekri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Majdi Sfar in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Majdi Sfar in the 31st minute of play forced Norton Radstock United's goalkeeper Radhi Benzekri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hedi Stambouli shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The supporters of Norton Radstock United booed when Thorne United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hatem Dhiab didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Riadh Slimane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norton Radstock United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riadh Slimane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Riadh Slimane was the one to do the kick off. Majdi Sfar was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 57 minutes into the game, Haroune El Hadj Kacem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norton Radstock United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thorne United the free kick. In the 58th match minute, Norton Radstock United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroune El Hadj Kacem to maneuver through the defense. Noureddine Mrabet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Radhi Benzekri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Noureddine Mrabet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Norton Radstock United's goalkeeper Radhi Benzekri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noureddine Mrabet. Radhi Benzekri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Majdi Sfar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noureddine Mrabet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
