Spectators: 6740 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ahmed Sguir got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match, Ahmed Sguir tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hadj Salem Bejaoui saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Sguir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hadj Salem Bejaoui was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. If Ahmed Sguir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Watford's goalkeeper Hadj Salem Bejaoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mustafa Ben Souayah. Hatem Jaziri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newton Aycliffe's Paulo Yahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amine Kalaï in the 22nd minute of play. When Hatem Jaziri came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Watford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hatem Jaziri couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Mustafa Ben Souayah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Newton Aycliffe's zone, Hatem Jaziri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Yahia came out of the goal and Hatem Jaziri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amine Kalaï blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Yahia having to make a save. Hatem Jaziri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Paulo Yahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute of the match Mohamed BenAmor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hadj Salem Bejaoui skillfully saved the ball. Hatem Jaziri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Yahia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amine Kalaï in the 40th minute of the match. Mustafa Ben Souayah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hadj Salem Bejaoui having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amine Kalaï made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Watford got a freekick which was hit by Maher Makhlouf. 54 minutes into the match, Watford's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Ben Souayah came free, but Hadj Salem Bejaoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Ben Souayah in the 64th minute of play forced Watford's goalkeeper Hadj Salem Bejaoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mustafa Ben Souayah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aymen Limam during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Newton Aycliffe got a freekick which was hit by Aymen Limam. The crowd rose to their feet as Amine Kalaï kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Yahia. That made the score 1-1 in the 83 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amine Kalaï in the 92nd minute of play forced Newton Aycliffe's goalkeeper Paulo Yahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
