Haythem Diwa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Croughton AFC's Bahi Meriah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Houcine Saidi in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Hamza Mhedhebi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Croughton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bahi Zouari came free, but Bahi Meriah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Chedli Abdelkader hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Houcine Saidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zine Rokki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hédi Mzali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute of the match Hédi Essafi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bahi Meriah showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hédi Mzalis short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Emir Bourguiba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bahi Zouari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bahi Meriah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Harpenden booed when Croughton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chedli Abdelkader didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bahi Zouari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahi Meriah having to interfere. Emir Bourguiba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zine Rokki 's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. If Hédi Mzali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zine Rokki made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Anouar Essediri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Croughton AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harpenden the free kick. After a rather tough play, Croughton AFC's Anouar Essediri got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Emir Bourguiba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hédi Mzali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zine Rokki might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emir Bourguiba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zine Rokki ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Harpenden:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Croughton AFC:s goal. Mehdi Yahia shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Harpenden's goalkeeper Emir Bourguiba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Zoubair Ben Saada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harpenden's Bahi Zouari was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 90th match minute, Harpenden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walid Bouchrara to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Mehdi Yahia in the 92nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Emir Bourguiba's left hand side. In the 93rd minute, Mehdi Yahia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harpenden were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Croughton AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zoubair Ben Saada took the corner. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Harpenden had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
