Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Bassem BenAmor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portreath AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bassem BenAmor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Thatto Heath's Med Bouzaiene got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Abdeljelil Jaber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Jaidi. Thatto Heath's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdeljelil Jaber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Khaled Chatti to make the kick off. Abdeljelil Jaber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chaker Gammoudi couldn't finish the play. Haythem Moatamri hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Chaker Gammoudi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kameleddine Saidi kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Portreath AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Chaker Gammoudi came free, but Moncef Ouertani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Zoubair M'ghirbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Portreath AFC's zone, Khaled Chatti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moncef Ouertani came out of the goal and Khaled Chatti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Abdeljelil Jaber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chaker Gammoudi in the 85th minute of play forced Portreath AFC's goalkeeper Moncef Ouertani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khaled Chatti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Jaidi made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Abdeljelil Jaber sent off a good shot on target.
