An unexpectedly hard shot by José Saber in the 21st minute of play forced Redditch United's goalkeeper Mehdi Yahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Castleford's Fatah Khelil got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 30th match minute, Redditch United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hedi Bouzayène to maneuver through the defense. José Saber struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Mehdi Yahia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castleford. Castleford's José Saber got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Redditch United's Mehdi Yahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Saber in the 41st minute of play. Kaies Ghodhbane might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernard al-Amin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaies Ghodhbane ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaies Ghodhbane to make the kick off. Dhaker Kaâbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehdi Yahia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alaeddine Benachour in the 52nd minute of the match. Kaies Ghodhbane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bernard al-Amin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Karim Bouali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernard al-Amin stood somewhat misplaced when Karim Bouali came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 69 minute. 74 minutes into the match, Fatah Khelil notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Redditch United's Mehdi Yahia. Mehdi Yahia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernard al-Amin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kaies Ghodhbane showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 77 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Redditch United's Hedi Bouzayène got a free kick in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amira Dali during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Amira Dali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fatah Khelil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
