Redditch United's Mehdi Yahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alaeddine Ben Aïssa in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Alaeddine Ben Aïssa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehdi Yahia. Redditch United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alaeddine Ben Aïssa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alaeddine Ben Aïssa in the 30th minute of play forced Redditch United's goalkeeper Mehdi Yahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaies Ghodhbane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Boumnijel having to interfere. Alaeddine Ben Aïssa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hassene Haj Kacem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
