After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Bechir Bensedrine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gosport's supporters rose to their feet, but Bechir Bensedrine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Tarek Mestiri came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Sidmouth United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarek Mestiri couldn't finish the play. If Fadhel Salem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Sidmouth United's Issam Kadri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Sidmouth United from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Khaled Marzouki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fadhel Salem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Issam Kadri having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Sidmouth United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adel Boumnijel to maneuver through the defense. Rashid Dhiab was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bechir Bensedrine in the 71st minute of play forced Sidmouth United's goalkeeper Issam Kadri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
