Abdelkarim Yahia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adel Melliti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hocine Bouzayane in the 28th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Ibrahim Soussia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Henley on Thames FC's Abdelkarim Yahia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames FC's Hocine Bouzayane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adel Melliti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Aymen Azaïez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ibrahim Soussia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Aymen Azaïez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Beverley FC's zone, Hocine Bouzayane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adel Melliti came out of the goal and Hocine Bouzayane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adel Melliti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamed Thabet in the 59th minute. Hocine Bouzayane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Abdelkarim Yahia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Henley on Thames FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
