The supporters of Letchworth United booed when Handforth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatah Souayah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Slim Ben Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samir al-Amin's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. A collision led to Letchworth United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Habib Hadda hit a great ball. Letchworth United's Abdelbaki Bejaoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroune Gharbi in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Letchworth United's goal looked a bit too open when Haroune Gharbi came free, but Abdelbaki Bejaoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdelbaki Bejaoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamed Yahia in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Hamed Yahia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
