In the 15th minute, Fatah Hadrioui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Newark's goal looked a bit too open when Houcine Aleya came free, but Jemeleddine Karoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riadh Robime's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Khaled Jemâa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After taking down the ball on St Neots's corner David Jemâa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jemeleddine Karoui quite easily take care of the ball. Riadh Robime was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Newark's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 47th minute Riadh Robime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khaled Jemâa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Riadh Robime stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
