Walid Khcharem took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmed Djait. Ahmed Djait dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Mohamed Salah Ben Rehouma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herne Bay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohamed Salah Ben Rehouma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jalel Sfar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Keighley AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ahmed Mzoughi hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Mohamed Salah Ben Rehouma fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jalel Sfar, passed just outside the right post. Riadh Mnari didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 35th minute. Herne Bay FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Ahmed Djait showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoubeir Nafti, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Herne Bay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Walid Khcharem came free, but Ahmed Djait reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walid Khcharem was the one to do the kick off. Mohamed Ali Chikhaoui charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Ali Chikhaoui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ahmed Djait made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walid Khcharem in the 60th minute of play. Abdelaziz Mkacher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
