When Lotfi Ghodbane fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guisborough's protests and gave Lotfi Ghodbane a yellow card for diving instead. Lotfi Ghodbane hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The supporters of Guisborough booed when Barton upon Humber AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabri Saidi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lotfi Ghodbane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Raouf Mkacher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Bourguiba struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Hatem Agrebi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barton upon Humber AFC. Hatem Agrebi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mohamed Bourguiba showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Barton upon Humber AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lotfi Ghodbane came free, but Raouf Mkacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Raouf ibn Ali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lotfi Ghodbane came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Guisborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lotfi Ghodbane couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohamed Bourguiba in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hatem Agrebi saved Guisborough from getting behind. After 36 played minutes Barton upon Humber AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sabri Saidi. Guisborough's Hatem Agrebi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Guisborough from getting a goal against them. Mohamed Bourguiba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hatem Agrebi came out and tried to block the shot, but Mohamed Bourguiba slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohamed Bourguiba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raouf ibn Ali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raouf Mkacher was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Abderrahim Neifar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abderrahim Neifar really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 62nd minute Mohamed Bourguiba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatem Agrebi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mohamed Bourguiba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hatem Agrebi was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Raouf Mkacher made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Raouf ibn Ali sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 75 minutes, Lotfi Ghodbane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guisborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lotfi Ghodbane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Barton upon Humber AFC's Mohamed Bourguiba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hatem Agrebi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Barton upon Humber AFC's zone, Raouf ibn Ali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raouf Mkacher came out of the goal and Raouf ibn Ali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guisborough may have spent more time on the ball, but Barton upon Humber AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
