With an extended leg and a bit of luck Riadh Diwa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mahmoud Dhafer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mourad Salem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26thth minute of the game Mourad Salem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mirfield's Mahmoud Dhafer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oussama Chedli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahmoud Dhafer having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute Mourad Salem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahmoud Dhafer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilmorton's Riadh Diwa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Gilmorton from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute, Gilmorton's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ali Nefzi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Mirfield's Tarak M'hadhebi got a free kick in the 44th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mourad Salem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahmoud Dhafer having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Gilmorton's Oussama Chedli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mahmoud Dhafer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tarak M'hadhebi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Gilmorton's goal looked a bit too open when Tarak M'hadhebi came free, but Riadh Diwa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
