Hamza Sfar was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Mohieddine Nafti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mohieddine Nafti really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ali Essediri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shuaibu Loussayef having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Ali Essediri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shuaibu Loussayef. Rawdon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Essediri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Chedi Merdassi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Hamza Sfar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Hamed Haggui fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castletown's protests and gave Hamed Haggui a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Castletown got a freekick which was hit by Hamed Haggui. Hamza Sfar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ajmi Khemili in the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Castletown's goal looked a bit too open when Ajmi Khemili came free, but Hamza Sfar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shuaibu Loussayef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Essediri, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Chedi Merdassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hamza Sfar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ajmi Khemili got free with Hamza Sfar in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ajmi Khemili made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Rawdon's zone, Lotfi Mrabet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shuaibu Loussayef came out of the goal and Lotfi Mrabet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rawdon's Shuaibu Loussayef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Essediri in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Castletown's zone, Ajmi Khemili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamza Sfar came out of the goal and Ajmi Khemili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ajmi Khemili in the 60th minute of play forced Castletown's goalkeeper Hamza Sfar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamed Haggui hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rawdon booed when Castletown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moncef Ghodhbane didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Rawdon's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Essediri came free, but Shuaibu Loussayef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rawdon's Shuaibu Loussayef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Rawdon from getting a goal against them. Shuaibu Loussayef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Essediri in the 75th minute of the match. Rachid Korbi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the game, Ali Essediri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castletown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rawdon the free kick. The supporters of Rawdon booed when Castletown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Essediri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Chedi Merdassi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamza Sfar was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Moncef Ghodhbane got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Hamza Sfar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chedi Merdassi in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Chedi Merdassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rawdon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Hédi M'henni charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hédi M'henni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Hédi M'henni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohieddine Nafti didn't quite understand what happened when in the 97 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. For all the effort they put into the match, the Castletown players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rawdon.
